Bud Meyers - Leaving Las Vegas

It's moving day for me today - I figure, why wait until the last minute when I might lose my internet connection and electricity?

About 4 PM PST today I'm disconnecting MISSION CONTROL (my computer) and packing up shop. A very kind woman has offered me a room to stay for a while. She herself is unemployed and collecting UI benefits, but I will try to get food stamps to help her with the expense of food.

I don't know when I'll be online again after today because she (my new "landlord") has a wi-fi router and I'm not sure if my old WIN 98 is compatible.

I will sure miss my old place...like losing a friend. Hold all my mail, and don't forget to click on my DONATE  button if you wish to help her with the utility bills and food. Even a dollar would help. Thanks.

Wish me luck, and good luck to all of you! Most of you have been very kind and have re-enforced my faith in the American people.

Take Care,

Bud

Dear Bud, My husband and I would like to give you some money to buy some groceries, or whatever you might need to help you in your time of need. We know what it's like to be unemployed and struggling, but if not for our faith in God I don't know how we would have endured. Your story in our local newspaper touched us deeply. How can we wire you an anonomyous gift?

Hi Anon, Just click the paypal button. You don't have to be registered to use your debit/credit card to leave him a gift. It's totally Anon, and no one gets your information. It is also very secure. I've used it before and I use paypal for years. Don't be worried. As it is the only way I know how to get him a wire. Otherwise you would have to exchange information and possibly wire it to like his nearest walmart which is cheaper on your end and no charge to him.

Bud, This is your friend who's been exchanging email with you from Georgia. My offer will always remain. And please keep my email handy. Take care and God Bless you and your new landlord. It's a blessing, that you have somewhere to go. Keep us informed of your situation and I hope everything changes soon for you, for the better!

Dear Bud,
I totally understand your situation. That’s great you have some place to go. Unfortunately when I just got evicted I lost half my stuff including 20+ years of photos. Please continue your campaign as long as you can. I am behind you. I don't have much money but I CAN afford at least $5.00 to help. I am living part time in a shelter and some times with friends. ( The weather here in Michigan got down to 10 below zero in some places) I am in a catch 22 situation. My prayers go out to you, stay strong!!!
Your friend Shari

Hope you will be able to find better opportunities at your new location. I've just sent some money to you via PayPal. I will check back in a few days to see how you are doing.
