Fox News: #1 Source of Intel for GOP Senators

Republican U.S. Senators get their "facts" from Fox News, then repeat them with strong conviction on CNN.

Senator Johnson did an interview on CNN early this morning and told Soledad O'Brien that Obama insulted small business owners and then parroted what Fox News has been reporting regarding Obama's latest town hall meeting.

Fox News: President Obama insulted small business owners during a campaign stop in Roanoke, Va. on Saturday. “If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that,” Obama told the crowd. “Somebody else made that happen.” President Obama said successful Americans did not become successful on their own — they had help. “If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own,” he said.

Obama's comments were taken out context by Fox News (like they usually are) and twisted to deceive the general public. This isn't reporting the news, this is political influence peddling (some call it "propaganda".)

Obama actually congratulated small businesses and gave them praise and credit. If anybody bothered watching Obama's speech before opining about it, they wouldn't appear so ignorant.

Fox News never gives the public the true facts about President Obama and the Democrats, but instead, they always cherry pick the facts and presents our other major political party in a negative light. "Fox News" is an oxymoron as it doesn't report "news", but is only a media representative of the conservative sect of the Republican party.

I watched Obama's speech in it's entirely and Fox News TOTALLY misrepresented Obama's message. Their reporting is so disingenuous it's hard to believe it's legal. People have been sued for slander for far less lying.

Fox News doesn't just report their twisted version of the fact and move on to the next story, but all their segments constantly repeat the lie...to be sure to totally saturate their viewing audience with their false stories...deliberately attempting to influence the consensus of the general public, rather than present truthful facts so that the people can form their own honest opinion based on their core beliefs.

Yes, maybe Fox News does spew propaganda. It's evil to use these tactics, especially since Fox News has a big megaphone and only caters to the interests of the very wealthy and the Republican Party.

Fox News intentionally tries to sway people's opinions, and does so in many subtle and sneaky and deceptive ways, which makes their political agenda even more evil, since they deprive the American people of the truth, and thereby persuading many to vote against their own best interests.

I watched Fox News for 12 years, of which for 10 of those years I was a Republican and believed every word they told me. I cheered for the likes of Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, and Sean Hannity...until I saw the light. Now I can't stand seeing their face once I learned what they've been feeding me all these years.

I'm ashamed to say that I was a very a misinformed, naive, gullible, and stupid man back then. I'm so glad I finally opened my eyes. Over the last three years I've learned a lot, and feel the exact opposite way from the way I used to feel. I've learned that the Republican party is deceitful, greedy, and uncompassionate about most of the poor and working class in this country (which is most of us.)

But I'm also very concerned. I consider myself (at the very least) of average intelligence; so if I can be fooled for so long, how much longer before the rest of America wakes up and finally realizes what the Republicans and Fox News are all about.

It sickens me that they continue to dumb-down the population and continue to use scare tactics to get their own way. And they would see this country suffer just to regain the presidency again. If Mitt Romney has a magic bullet or an ingenious plan to get people back to work, why make us suffer and tell us how, rather than make us wait until after the next election?

Why? Because Romney and the GOP doesn't have a plan to help middle America. They just want the money and the power.

Fox News lied about Obama's words, and all the other bloggers and media outlets picked it up and repeated it. When Senator Johnson did that interview on CNN early this morning, why didn't Soledad O'Brien challenge his claim, instead of allowing CNN's audience to also believe that Fox News' lies were true?

I used to hate MSNBC when I was a Republican, now it's my ONLY trusted source of cable TV news.
