Hillary Clinton should drop out, or the GOP could win

Simply put, Hillary Clinton will divide the Democratic base during the primary the same way Bernie Sanders would if he ran as an Independent in the general election; and it is Bernie who has a better chance of beating any GOP nominee in 2016 — not Hillary Clinton.

Republicans for Bernie Sanders: "What's NOT to like?"

Bernie Sanders for President 2016

The left-wing mainstream media may be "liberal" — but they're not "progressive" — as they seem more beholden to the Hillary Clinton fan club rather than to Bernie Sanders'.

Rand Paul: Like Father, Like Son

As usual, the apple doesn't seem to fall very far from the tree. Ron Paul supported the elimination of all income tax and the IRS. While his son's tax plan isn't quite as radical, it's still disingenuous, because they're both selling snake oil to us.

Hillary Clinton Operatives Infiltrate Netroots Convention

Not really. The title of this post might have been named: "Black Lives Matter to Bernie Sanders". But one might wonder why a small group of people would want to rudely interrupt interviews with two of the very people who would advocate on behalf of the African-American population — and who might be the most likely to support their causes. It would seem a bit counter-productive to their ambitions.

Elizabeth Warren: "The American people are Progressives"

Below is a 9 minute video of a few excerpts from Elizabeth Warren's recent 30-minute speech at the Netroots Nation annual convention in Phoenix Arizona (2015).

Who's Afraid of Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders?

Elizabeth Warren just brought down the house at the Netroots Nation conference with one of the most powerful speeches of her career. On issue after issue — from Wall Street reform, to expanding Social Security, to debt-free college, to the revolving door (when government workers go to work for banks or corporations as lobbyists).

Critiquing Hillary Clinton's Economic Speech from July 12, 2015

Editor's Note: Since the economy crashed in 2008, I've become pretty much of a "newshound" when it comes to the subjects of the economy, jobs reports, wages, taxes, Social Security, (etc.) — so like many people, I tuned in and sat through Hillary Clinton's long speech yesterday; and then, I began monitoring the major cable TV news stations (Fox, CNN and MSNBC) to see what they were saying — and to see what short sound bites might have evolved.

New York Times (excerpts):

Everyone on earth was a forager 15,000 years ago, surviving by hunting wild animals and gathering wild plants. These methods had low yields and worked best when people lived in tiny bands and moved around a lot.

Robert Reich on Jeb Bush Lies and Half Truths

First, Jeb Bush said:

"We have to be a lot more productive, workforce participation has to rise from its all-time modern lows. It means that people need to work longer hours and, through their productivity, gain more income for their families. That's the only way we're going to get out of this rut that we're in."

If We Double Revenues, We Can Double the Budget

And if we double the budget, we can double spending on such things as defense (that the Republicans want) and infrastructure (that the Democrats prefer) — and expand Social Security.
