Clintons: Looking Through Wrong End of the Telescope

At a recent campaign rally for his wife, Bill Clinton told the small crowd that the economy was rigged because they didn't have a president who’s a change-maker who could work with Congress. The Washington Post wrote: "It sounded like he was agreeing with one of Bernie Sanders’s central arguments about income inequality — but blaming the sitting president for it. The comments launched a barrage of tweets and more than a few GOP attacks accusing the Clintons of hypocrisy."

Lately the Clintons have acted as though they've been offended and insulted — and have been personally attacked, just because someone had dared to run against one of them in the presidential primary: "How dare they! Don't they know who we are?"

One can see it in their anger, especially after they see how small their crowds are at campaign events when compared to Bernie Sanders — or when they see how much better he does than Hillary in all the online polls: "What's wrong with all those people?"

And when the Clintons saw how close they came to losing in Iowa (winning by a mere 4/10ths of one percent), and after losing HUGE in New Hampshire, the Clintons acted as though: "Those stupid people! Don't they realize how much better Hillary is than Bernie?"

It's been quite obvious that, after failing to convince the American people that she was not running for her husband's or Obama's third term, she began embracing Obama and promised to continue his policies (to pander for the Black vote) — and essentially has been running for Obama's third term.

But after seeing that strategy also fail, then the true Clintons came to light, a reminder of all the dirty tricks they've used in the past, with the false accusations and sleazy innuendos: "He's a sexist who wants to take away your health care and raise your taxes!" (To their credit, the Clintons didn't accuse Sanders of being trailer park trash.)

Or they'll resort to using reverse psychology in their perverse strategy of blaming their opponent for what THEY THEMSELVES are guilty of — such as accusing Bernie's male supports (aka Bernie Bros) of sexism and being misogynists, when it has been Hillary who sounds like she's been campaigning against men, playing the gender card and specifically pandering for the woman's votes. (And let's not forget her husband's own past history with women.)

The Clintons behave as though they are somehow entitled to another 8 more years in the White House and aboard Air Force One; and in their selfish, relentless and ruthless pursuit of their personal endeavor, they have resorted to another round of vicious lies and nasty smears against Hillary's opponent and his supporters (which she would need to get herself elected if she were to ever win the Democratic nomination).

The Clintons will do and say anything to get what THEY want, as though winning an election at any cost was perfectly acceptable — and may "the peons" be damned. "Can't you stupid people see? He's a damn Socialist!"

But people, when not won over by persuasion, will become insulted and angry themselves when they see someone trying to force themselves upon them. Like a young girl, fighting off the advances of an older man [no pun intended Bill] when swatting his hand away and shouting: "Leave me the Hell alone!"

People don't like be assaulted in that way, the way the Clintons have assaulted and insulted their intelligence. People don't like having other people being forced upon them without their consent. People don't like being lied to. And people don't like hearing people lie about others just to fulfill their own selfish desires.

Most people find the Clintons' behavior abhorrent, revolting, repulsive, repellent, disgusting, offensive, objectionable, cringe-worthy, vile, foul, nasty, loathsome, sickening, nauseating, hateful, detestable, execrable, abominable, monstrous, appalling, insufferable, intolerable, unacceptable, contemptible, unsavory and unpalatable. (The politicians and "super-delegates" that endorse her, do so for their own political ambitions, and can't be trusted either.)

Most people might prefer that Hillary Clinton drop out of the race early: "Just go away already!"

If Bernie Sanders loses the Democratic primary (fairly, by popular vote, and not by super-delegates), he will feel great disappointment for the American people and the country. But if Hillary Clinton loses, she will be angry and bitter — as though something was unfairly stolen from her. She will make herself the victim again.

The Clintons are looking through the wrong end of the telescope. Their view of the country and the working- and middle-class are seen the through a lens of wealth, entitlement, personal enrichment, power and privilege. They can't even "act" as though they really care about ordinary working people — let alone, actuality really care about them, because they don't even know how.

And they're pissed, because they know that we know.

  2. Adam McKay (who has earned an Academy Award nomination for his direction of “The Big Short”) is a big Bernie Sanders supporter, a huge Elizabeth Warren fan, and a potential “hold my nose” Hillary Clinton general election voter. In other words, he’s a progressive Democrat under the age of 65. McKay described his discomfort with Clinton’s coziness with Wall Street and her opposition to re-imposing Glass-Steagall banking regulations that were repealed on her husband’s watch.

    My comment (if not deleted):

Senator Bernie Sanders is an Independent FDR progressive who describes himself as a democratic socialist, not a "Socialist". Hillary Clinton's supporters do the same thing as the Republicans do, by using fear-mongering tactics in an attempt to scare people to vote against their own economic best interests. Comparing Bernie Sanders to Joseph Stalin is as ridiculous as comparing Ronald Reagan to Adolf Hitler. Using this strategy of red-baiting "McCarthyism" might work on ignorant and misinformed people, but to others, it only indicates they're losing the debate on the real issues.

  4. As a British citizen, Roger Waters of the progressive rock band Pink Floyd cannot vote in the U.S. election, but he says that if he could, he'd cast his lot with Sanders. He says that Hillary Clinton is a far better alternative than any of the Republican candidates by a long, long way, but he still has severe reservations about her. "Hillary worries me," he says. "I have an awful worry that she might become the first woman president to drop a fucking nuclear bomb on somebody. There is something scarily hawkish about her, and she has that politician look down of, 'You are never going to get a word of truth out of me.'"

  5. Harry Truman (1952):

"When the Democratic candidate allows himself to be put on the defensive and starts apologizing for the New Deal and the fair Deal, and says he really doesn't believe in them, he is sure to lose. The people don't want a phony Democrat. If it's a choice between a genuine Republican, and a Republican in Democratic clothing, the people will choose the genuine article, every time; that is, they will take a Republican before they will a phony Democrat, and I don't want any phony Democratic candidates in this campaign."

    * Hillary Clinton (as a New Democrat-Third Way-Centrist-Moderate) is not a progressive Democrat. She is Republican Lite ... a phony Democrat.

  6. Why Hillary has been hugging Obama -- to pander for the Black vote:

Washington Post: "Clinton’s favorability among blacks declined by over 20 percentage points during the 2008 presidential primary. But then her popularity among African Americans then reached record heights when she was Obama’s secretary of state. It is not surprising, then, that there is a strong relationship between black support for Hillary Clinton in this year’s Democratic primary and opinions about President Obama."

    * Do Black voters really believe that Hillary Clinton can do more than Obama (or as much) for the African-American community than Bernie Sanders? And if so, why?

With the Nevada Caucuses just eight days away and South Carolina Primaries only 15, Bernie has his work cut out for him. Luckily for him it seems like more and more black support, especially young, seems to be turning more and more in his favor.

    3. State Sen. Vincent Fort, the No. 2 Democrat in the Georgia Senate, flipped his endorsement on Tuesday from Hillary Clinton to Bernie Sanders. He instantly becomes one of the Vermont senator’s top surrogates in the South, where his campaign has picked up support from only a handful of black elected officials.

  7. Hillary Clinton, recently in Henderson, Nevada:

"If we broke up the big banks tomorrow — and I will, if they deserve it — if they pose a systemic risk, I will. But will that end racism? Will that end sexism? Will that end discrimination against the LGBT community? Will that make people feel more welcoming to immigrants overnight? Would that solve our problem with voting rights and Republicans who are trying to strip them away from people of color, the elderly and the young?"

    * Watch this short 2½ minute video and convince me that Hillary Clinton will break up the big banks "if they deserve it". Short anwser: No.

    * And Bernie Sanders addresses all the same issues that Hillary raises, and much more. He is not a "single issues candidate" as she wants to make him out to be.
