My little brick room is six feet by nine
It might not be much but it's all mine
The sink in the corner, the concrete floor
A bed to the side and the solid steel door
A small piece of glass lets my only light in
I count all the bricks - I'll start over again
My meals are delivered just three times a day
The food's not so good but I don't have to pay
There's no clock on the wall but I can still keep time
Lines on the wall, these days are all mine
When I get my mail, it's three times a week
My lawyers they might write for a plea that they seek
An innocent man would never be here
'Cause he would most likely be home drinking a beer
What about me, just what did I do
You killed my heart and I only killed you
I need to be free and out of this jail
I have to escape 'cause it's too late for bail
There's no clock on the wall but I can still keep time
Another line on the wall, these days are all mine
(bye-bye)
(instrumental)
My little brick room is six foot by nine
It might not be much but it's all mine
A sink in the corner and a concrete floor
A bed to the side and a solid steel door
A small piece of glass lets my only light in
I count all the bricks then start over again
You killed my heart, what did I do
You killed my heart but I only killed you
There's no clock on the wall but I can still keep time
Draw another line on the wall, these days are all mine...
There's no clock on the wall but I can still keep time
Draw another line on the wall, I'm going to lose my mind.
It might not be much but it's all mine
The sink in the corner, the concrete floor
A bed to the side and the solid steel door
A small piece of glass lets my only light in
