"A tall border wall of a thousand miles with a big beautiful door begins with one brick." — Anonymous
Question for the Ages: To keep from ripping
infant babies from the loving (but helpless) arms of innocent mothers, what
exactly do the Democrats propose we do in order to enforce our current
immigration laws when unknown people (strangers, people without documentation
and accompanied by small children) attempt to illegally enter our country? What
should the border patrol do?

This is what President Trump and his 63 million
voters are asking for with immigration reform in exchange for a path to
full citizenship for an estimated 1.8 million children of illegal
immigrants who currently qualify for DACA:
1) A tall wall with a big beautiful door.
2) An end to catch-and-release.
3) An end to the Green Card lottery.
4) An end to chain-migration.
5) All employers must use eVerify.
Otherwise, the unregulated flow of illegal immigrants from South of the
border will only continue as it has in decades past, and therefore,
nothing will ever change. If President Trump does as the Democrats want,
and just grants amnesty (or "a path") to 1.8 million people with
no concessions in return, these "new" citizens will probably
vote against everything President Trump and his 63 million voters are
asking for, which is:
1) A tall wall with a big beautiful door.
2) An end to catch-and-release.
3) An end to the Green Card lottery.
4) An end to chain-migration.
5) All employers must use eVerify.
And who knows, if THAT were to ever happen, maybe one day California
might belong to Mexico again (and the Democrats would lose their biggest
voting block!)
The bottom line is, for decades the Democrats have been trying to
permanently change the demographics and culture of the country (like
they've been doing in California) with Latinos from South of the border
— just to get votes for permanent political power (They use
African-Americans for the same reasons.)
* Evidently, people who LEGALLY immigrate here, must usually vote for
Republicans ;) |

The rift between President Trump and Senator John McCain dates back to June 16, 2015 from Trump's announcement speech when he said: "When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people. But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting. And it only makes common sense. It only makes common sense. They’re sending us not the right people. It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably— probably— from the Middle East. But we don’t know. Because we have no protection and we have no competence, we don’t know what’s happening. And it’s got to stop and it’s got to stop fast." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxQUP5zOnXQ&t=2s
ReplyDeleteI totally agree that we need better immigration control and more stringent border security. However, I don't like Trump's exaggerations about the immigration problems. It's not OK to keep lying about things because we need calm, fact based assessment and solutions to issues. As for the real situation along our border, I think that this video is typical:

Thanks for your comment . . .
DeleteThe border is 2,000 miles long. To take one section out of context is misleading; it doesn't depict the whole story. Trump actually went to the border many times and talked to the Border Patrol (who are over 50% Hispanic), and it is THEY who say we need more border barriers, better technology and more personnel to properly secure the border. Below are videos of Trump at a ROUND-TABLE MEETING with the real "experts" — those who actually do the job of border security, not the mealy-mouth politicians in D.C. who have no clue, but pretend to know what they're talking about. When you hear Trump speak, he's repeating what the experts are telling him, he's not exaggerating (like he sometimes does).

I agree that adding more sections of wall would improve border security. But we shouldn't need the wall from sea-to-sea. I also don't agree with the rhetoric regarding immigrants as criminals, rapists and drug traffickers.

While I don't want illegal latino into this country today, in the past, they have served a good purpose, especially in the late 80's. That was the time when African Americans were extremely racist, aggressive and violent towards White people, causing White flight from our cities which changed the demographics of our cities even till today. I truly believe that Latino immigration helped reduce black on white crime and diffused the racial aggression.
