We Know Who the Enablers Are

We all know (or should know) that it's not between the LEFT and the RIGHT, it's between the RICH and the POOR (and everyone else in between). It's always been about ALL of us, since the dawn of time: the middle-class, the working-class, the under-paid, the unemployed, the needy, the private sector, the public sector, and the very poor who live in poverty in every country around world...and know who the enablers are.

We all know (or should know) that it's not so much an ideology that divides us, it's money. It's about all of us who have been taking the hit for the richest 10% in this country (and around the globe) who control 90% of all the wealth - and almost 100% our natural resources (such as oil and gold). We all know who the enablers are.

We all know that it's always been the political "enablers" (from dictators to presidents) who have created this vast divide between those that have (corporate CEOs and bankers, "the haves") and those that don't have - the ordinary people (the masses, "the have-nots", us, the people). It's become common knowledge, and we know who these enablers are.

We all know who caused the financial collapse of this country and around the globe, and who their political enablers are. And we all know who caused the housing bubble, when trillions of dollars just instantly vanished into thin air - we know who the enablers are.

We all know about the mortgage frauds and foreclosures, and why Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac has cost the taxpayers billions of dollars, sucking us dry like a giant blood-thirsty leech - we all know who the enablers are.

We all know about the waste and corruption in government, who caused our debt...and who the enablers are. We all know about the political campaign contributions (bribes), and who they are beholden to. The Supreme Court in-Justices, that's who the enablers are.

We all know why America's middle-class was destroyed, who outsourced all the jobs, and who their enablers are. Corporate interests over THE PEOPLE'S interests, and who really runs this country...and who their enablers are.

We all know why we lost 8.5 million jobs in the last two years, and where they went, and who the enablers are. We know who profited and enriched themselves on the backs of ordinary Americans, and who those enablers are.

We all know why the Republic on the United States is governed by the big banks and businesses, and who the enablers are; those who sold our country for votes, they all know who they are. It's now the Corporate States of America, we know more than anyone, who the enablers are.

We all know that the working-class and the unemployed have been sacrificed to enrich a very few. The politicians all knew very well, exactly where we'd be. Without a job, without a home, without much hope at all. But there's one thing that we know all too well, and that's who the enablers are.

We all know that while we're working hard, year after back-breaking year, that it doesn't mean we'll ever reach the finish line....they'll keep raising the age for Social Security after stealing the money. The uber-rich had killed the dream, they took it all away. Millions of us lost everything, many lost their lives - because of who the enablers are.

We all know who destroyed our lives, but there's nothing we can do. The enablers on both sides of the aisle will always get your votes, telling lies on their campaign trails. It's always been that way, nothing can ever change, that's who the enablers are.

We all know most of us will never work again, growing old in poverty - we were screwed again. Retirements, pensions, and 401ks - all wiped out, the enablers killed our dream. They let us go, they let us die, that's who the enablers are.

We all know we've been left for dead, so the big boys could fly in private jets. Mansions all over the world, and cash in banks around the globe. When America dies they'll have another place to run and hide and play, because of who the enablers are.

We all know this country failed to protect our right to work and live. The politicians, bankers, and businessmen kept us down for sure. There's nothing we could have done but go to work, pay the bills and die...just so the rich could own those who they pay (these pitiful wages), those who the enablers are.

We all know it's getting worse, but the young will get old too. Just like us, thrown under the bus, one day they'll learn the truth. They will work all their lives, but only work in vain - because just like us, they'll lose their dream, and know who the enablers are.

Enablers rule 311 million citizens for U.S. corporations

The Supreme Court as an Enabler

Most of the United States' larger corporations are "multi-national", as they have factories overseas (as we've learned from all the outsourcing of American jobs over the past several decades). GM was building cars in Germany after Hitler came to power, and last year General Electric realized most of its profits from its business overseas. So it doesn't take a stretch of anyone's imagination to realize that U.S. corporate interests take into consideration the foreign politics that govern their overseas profits and corporate taxes...and so these "foreign interests" would have to ultimately influence American politics when U.S. corporations are allowed to play such a dominate role in our internal political affairs. But our U.S. Supreme Court didn't agree, and sided with corporate interests, rather than the interests and will of the American people.

Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission was a landmark (5-4) decision by the United States Supreme Court holding that corporate funding of independent political broadcasts in candidate elections cannot be limited — because of the First Amendment right to the Constitutionally guaranteed Right to Free Speech...giving the individuals of a corporation a vote and the the non-entity of a business structure (a charter) a vote as well - essentially giving the CEO of a corporation two votes.

The dissenters in the Supreme Court decision argued that allowing corporate money to flood the political marketplace would corrupt democracy...which we've since realized to be true (i.e. Koch Industries, governed by two individuals.)

In our Declaration of Independence it states "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

All "men" were created equal, not "corporations". "Men" were endowed by their creator, not "corporations". Do corporations also have a right to "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"?

The First Amendment states: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

I saw the word "people", not "corporation".

But most importantly, if a corporation were entitled to the same rights that "individuals" are entitled to, then should corporations also be held civilly and criminally accountable as well, without "limited liability" protections?

From an Op-Ed piece - Waking the Dead - "This illustrates clearly, that our government is cancerous and no longer functions as a government but rather as the enforcement arm of the corporate Fascist state. A state where Federal judges are appointed by government and then rule that corporations have the same rights as the citizens. Courts that rule that money equals free speech and limiting the amount of money corporations may spend is denying the corporations freedom of speech. A government and court system which defends the corporations but won't defend the public from the corporation.

You will see this formula used over and over, the corporation with ten, fifty or a hundred million dollars is free to exercise its speech in any way that it chooses while you must get a permit to assemble on a public street. Corporate speech is free and unencumbered while yours is ticketed and regulated and must end by closing time."

And once again the United States Supreme Court under Chief Justice John Roberts has shown the nation it will always favor corporations over people even if it means conjuring new law out of thin air. Just like with Citizens United, the recent 5-4 ruling in AT&T's favor of gutting the power of consumers to file class-action lawsuits against giant corporations - which tips the scales of justice against the people and renders the enormous power of corporations even more enormous.
