If You're a Republican Voter, Just Remember...

...the next time you see hidden charges in fine print in your utility, phone, and credit card bills, remember that these are things the Republican Party defends.

The next time a Republican retires and needs Medicare; and receives a monthly check from Social Security, remember that these are things the Republican Party are trying to take away from you.

The next time a Republican complains about the high cost of gasoline and heating oil, remember that it's the oil companies (exempli gratia Exxon-Mobil) and commodities traders (exempli gratia Goldman Sachs) who drive up the cost and are the ones the Republican Party defends.

The next time a Republican is laid off from their job, remember that it's the Republican Party that's been reducing, and in some cases, eliminating, unemployment benefits when you'll need a check to feed your family and pay your rent.

The next time your interest rates go up on your credit cards, mortgages, and auto loans, remember that it's the bankers that the Republican Party always defends.

The next time a Republican realizes when the bankers and CEOs give themselves a multi-million raise while their wages remain stagnant as the cost of living constantly goes higher, these are the people that the Republican Party defends.

The next time a Republican enjoys time off from their job when their baby is born, or they wish to attend the funeral of a family member, or they need the time off to attend to a family member while they're ill, just remember that it wasn't the Republican Party who advocated for the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

The next time a Republican need not have a destitute family member become a financial burden on them because of social services, Medicaid, and food stamps, remember: these are things the Republican Party are trying to kill.

The next time a Republican is not discriminated against for a job or home mortgage loan (based on race, gender, disabilities, etc.) thank the Civil Rights Act and remember what the Republicans are against.

The next time a Republican sends their kids to a public school, remember that the Republican Party would prefer private schools funded by tax dollars that only the children of wealthy parents would attend. Your child would have to share a teacher with 60 other students (if a teacher could be hired at all). Remember to thank the Republican Party.

The next time a Republican needs their garbage taken away, has their home broken in to, or has their house catch on fire...remember it was the Republican Party who wants to cut the budget and wants them to stand in longer lines at the DMV too.

The next time a Republican has a son or daughter coming home from a war with a disability (or inside a pine box) remember it was under false pretenses that the Republican Party sent your loved one into harm's way for corporate profits in Iraq and to defend the opium drug trade in Afghanistan.

The next time a Republican has to bail out a bank because of the bankers' greedy and reckless gambling with your pension fund and 401k account, remember that it's the Republican Party who is blocking all financial reforms.

The next time a Republican is disgusted with all the money they're paying in income taxes, remember that it's the Republican Party that keeps your tax rate high because they refuse to fairly tax large corporations or the wealthy.

The next time a Republican loses a muffler or damages a wheel on their car because of a pothole in the road, or has the whole bridge fall out from under them, remember that it was the Republican Party that puts infrastructure at the bottom of their list for "things to do".

The next time a Republican suffers losses because of a natural disaster, just remember that it's the Republican Party that wants to reduce and/or eliminate federal aid to disaster victims...and whatever help you DO receive, will come at the expense of other cuts to your Social Security and Medicare.

The next time a Republican has their child poisoned by food or is injured from a unsafe toy made in China, please remember that it is the Republican Party that wants less regulations and less funding for the FDA - - - as well as the elimination of OSHA for unsafe working conditions in your workplace.

The next time a Republican is strip-searched (sexually molested) at an airport, remember that the Republican Party uses scare tactics to implement these policies. Remember the Patriot Act. "People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither. and will lose both." - Benjamin Franklin

The next time a Republican has a father or mother who needs vital life-saving prescription medication, remember that the Republican Party doesn't want to pay for that either, but would prefer to build schools and bridges in Afghanistan, bribing Taliban drug dealers with billions in U.S. tax dollars to access the Afghani roads...rather than building or fixing American roads.

The next time a Republican thinks they are a loving and caring human being who believes in God, remember that the Republican Party thinks corporations are real people too ...as though a limited liability businesses enterprise feels pain, grief, and suffering just like you do. (and the conservative-stacked Supreme Court agrees.)

The next time a Republican travels in an airplane (FAA), train (Amtrak or subway), or bus (city transportation), remember that the Republican Party wants to cut budgets there as well. If any service or program is "people orientated" in any way, the Republicans want to cut it. If it's favorable for big business, the Republicans are all in and want to give them free reign with no regulations at all, and pass out generous taxpayer subsidies like a rich uncle to the most profitable corporations in exchange for unlimited campaign contributions (legal bribes).

The next time a Republican gets sick after losing their job and healthcare insurance, remember that the Republican Party thinks that they should rely on the church for charity and their neighbor's for help - - - and then just hope that one of them is a doctor or surgeon - - - and/or runs a soup kitchen and homeless shelter, and can afford to provide these services for free. And pray that someone like Glenn Beck or Paul Ryan isn't your neighbor.

The next time a Republican voter hears a Republican politician tell them they're "strong on defense", just remember that under George W. Bush we spent a trillion dollars in "defense" and never even found, let alone kill, Osama Bin Laden. Republicans are just "strong on defense spending" to enrich their corporate masters.

The next time a Republican gets paid for working overtime (after 8 hours a day or 40 hours a week), remember that the Republican Party would take that away from you too, if they could. And if you get hurt at work, the GOP doesn't want you to collect one penny is damages either. (Call your neighbor or church for help if that happens.)

The next time a Republican goes to a town-hall meeting, they should remember to ask about all these things, and they should also ask their Republican congress-person these 3 questions:

1. "Why did you vote to give taxpayer money to the most profitable corporation on earth (oil subsidies to Exxon-Mobil) while allowing 6 million families (unemployed UI exhaustees and 99ers) go without any income at all?"

2. "Why are jobless Americans obligated to pay income taxes from their unemployment checks when the most profitable corporation in human history pays no taxes at all?" (Again, Exxon-Mobil)

3. "Is it true what Mitt Romney claims, that a corporation like Exxon-Mobil is a real person?"

The next time a Republican feels like they're being stabbed in the back, remember the Republican Party, they're the ones holding the knife. If you're a Republican voter, I'm just asking...why?
