The New York Daily News (a tabloid New York City "newspaper") just endorsed the biggest advocate for Wall Street, Madame Hillary Rodham Clinton. Why are we not surprised?
The Observer, meanwhile, endorsed Trump. This is not surprising either, since The Donald's son-in-law owns the paper!
Look at the 2nd cover below, where their cover slanders Bernie Sanders, an honorable man who wants to break up the "too big to fail" banks that destroyed our economy in 2008.
The yellow journalistic "newspaper" just endorsed a woman who claims to be a champion of the middle-class, who, while the rest of us were struggling to get through the aftermath of the Great Recession, was jet-setting around the country making 20-minute "speeches" for $225,000 a pop.
The last cover below should have been what the New York Daily News used if they were really an honest publication. The media is so corrupt I want to barf in their face.

This has got to be the joke of the week. Headline from the New York Daily News:
ReplyDeleteDaily News Editorial Board says Vote Hillary Clinton: Her plans to give working- and middle-class Americans a fighting chance at rising incomes are far superior to Bernie Sanders'
Sum it up: The global financial meltdown of 2008 supercharged trends that continue to degrade standards of living, worsen income inequality and narrow the paths to better.
[GOLDMAN SACHS. GOLDMAN SACHS! GOLDMAN SACHS!]
Meanwhile, despite Obama’s let’s-pretend rituals, Washington has delivered no significant help since the 2009 stimulus, let alone game-changing economic programs.
Blame whomever you like. Blame the President. Blame congressional Republicans. Blame them both. Regardless of where you pin responsibility for Washington’s catastrophic abandonment of the American worker, the nation now reaps the whirlwind in the furies of the 2016 election.
[I would quote more, but it's all CATTLE EXCREMENT!]

New Quinnipiac University Poll is very telling . . .
ReplyDeleteThe poll was based on 860 "likely New York Democratic primary voters" by calling land lines and cell phones (I never answer my phone unless caller ID shows someone I know.)
The new poll shows that Black voters (just like in the South) continue to vote against the best interests of white working-class voters in the North. With a 65-28 percent lead among black voters, Hillary Clinton tops Bernie Sanders.
Among all New York's likely Democratic primary voters, Clinton leads Sanders 53-40 (New York's strict voting laws will exclude many Independents from voting in the primary, and Independents usually favor Sanders.)
Older voters (those over 55 and usually with higher incomes) who already have their pensions and Social Security benefits locked up, voted against younger voters by supporting Hillary Clinton (because they aren't first-time job seekers working for $7.25 an hour). Primary voters 18 to 44 years back Bernie Sanders (because they want a future to believe in.)
Clinton leads with women who only want a "first woman president", while men (who usually vote on the issues and the honesty of a candidate) are evenly divided between Clinton and Sanders.
Clinton leads 53-37 percent in New York City (were the bankers and the highest income earners reside); but Clinton leads by narrower margins in the suburbs. Upstate New Yorkers (where average working-class families live) are evenly divided between Clinton and Sanders.

ReplyDeleteJudge Anndrew Napolitano: "The Republican Party is a private club. The Democratic party is a private club. They are not the government. Even though a primary looks like an election, feels like an election. You use the same equipment where you go for an election, you go to the same place. It is not an election. It is not run by the government. And these private clubs can do the nominations however they see fit."

* My note: The judge says the primaries are not run by the government, but isn’t there state government oversight to ensure they’re fair and not rigged with fraud (etc)? And if one party controls that government, wouldn’t be like the police were policing themselves?
We need a THIRD PARTY!
